About Launchora

Launchora was founded in 2014 as a platform for writers to publish and share original stories. Over the next decade, it grew into one of India's most active writing communities — with over 94,000 published authors, nearly half a million stories, and more than 24 million reads.

The platform was built on a simple belief: that everyone has a story worth telling. Writers from across India and the world used Launchora to publish their first stories, find their first readers, and build audiences from scratch. The writing spans fiction, poetry, personal essays, and everything in between — much of it in English, Hindi, and Hinglish.

Today, Launchora is an archive — a permanent home for everything the community created. The full library of published stories is freely accessible to read. Nothing has been taken down. The work is preserved.

Launchora is founded and run by Lakshya Datta — writer, director, and podcast producer based in Mumbai, India. Alongside the writing platform, Lakshya has produced a catalogue of original Hindi audio dramas exclusively for Launchora. Several of these shows have reached multi-million downloads and have appeared among the top podcasts on JioSaavn. Titles include Tumne Kisi Se Kabhi Pyaar Kiya Hai?, Silsila Ye Chaahat Ka, Hum Tumhare Hain Kaun?, School of Ishq, and Dil Radio, among others.

The shows are available on JioSaavn, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. New seasons and new shows are in production.
